Canada completes removal, dismantling, and recycling of oil-polluting Tug Craig Trans in Nova Scotia.

The Government of Canada has successfully completed the removal, dismantling, and recycling of the Tug Craig Trans, which had been moored near Marie Joseph, Nova Scotia since 2017. The vessel was confirmed to be causing oil pollution in the local marine environment. Over 850,000 litres of contaminated water were removed during a three-month operation, and the steel has since been recycled.
