BYD, the world's top-selling electric vehicle (EV) maker, is now targeting Toyota and Volkswagen in China's competitive EV market. The company is offering steep discounts on almost all its electric and hybrid car models, with prices cut on over 100 existing model versions and 70 more relaunched with lower prices. The aggressive price cuts are part of BYD's marketing campaign, "electricity is cheaper than oil".
