Afghanistan's caretaker government signed two electricity contracts worth about $43M, aiming to address the country's power shortage. The projects include a 22.75 MW solar power facility at Naghlo dam in Kabul, and construction of high voltage lines and substations in Herat province. Afghanistan requires 850 MW of electricity annually, with 620 MW imported and 230 MW supplied domestically.
