26-year-old William Byron secured pole position for the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) road course with a speed of 94.685 mph, edging Joe Gibbs Racing's Ty Gibbs by .015 seconds. This marks Byron's 13th career pole and his fifth on a road course, the most among active drivers. The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
