DNA from a discarded chewing gum piece led to the arrest and conviction of Robert Plympton, 60, in a 1980 cold case murder in Oregon. Plympton was found guilty of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder in the killing of Mt. Hood Community College student Barbara Tucker. DNA from the autopsy and chewing gum were compared to identify Plympton as the suspect. Plympton's attorneys plan to appeal his convictions.
