Rain led to a wastewater overflow, causing poor water quality at a kids' TRYathlon event in east Auckland. The swimming leg was cancelled, and the event was revised to a run/bike/run format. Parents were informed of the change last night. The school kids, aged 6 to 15, attended the sold-out event, running along Pt England beach before transitioning to bike and run legs.
