1st Parramatta Class ferry arrives in Sydney, designed to replace retiring RiverCats.
The first ferry of a new seven-vessel fleet arrived in Sydney after a 630 nm journey, with the NSW premier among its first passengers. The Parramatta Class ferries, designed by Incat Crowthers and built by Richardson Devine Marine Shipbuilders, will replace retiring RiverCats after 30 years of service. The lead vessel, named Frances Bodkin, will undergo further sea trials before welcoming passengers.
