3rd-seed University of Connecticut (UConn) celebrated coach Geno Auriemma's 70th birthday with a 86-64 victory over Jackson State in the first round of the women's NCAA Tournament. Paige Bueckers, who returned from a two-year absence due to a torn ACL, scored 28 points, leading the team to their 30th consecutive opening-round win. UConn will face the winner of the second game between No. 6 seed Syracuse and No. 11 Seed Arizona in the next round.
