1-person dead in 2nd house fire in Duryea in 10 days. At 6:00 a.m., a second alarm house fire occurred on Foote Ave. Crews contained the fire quickly, but one person was found deceased. Previously, 10 people were displaced from a fire at this home. Multiple fire departments, including Excelsior Hose Company No.2, Germania Hose Company, and Avoca Fire Department, responded.
