₹38,000 crore FPIs investment in Indian equity markets in March, driven by global and domestic economic factors.

FPIs have invested over Rs 38,000 crore in Indian equity markets in March, driven by favourable global economic conditions and a robust domestic macroeconomic outlook. FPIs' investments turned positive to Rs 13,893 crore in equities and Rs 55,480 crore in the debt market for 2024. The sustained FPI flows into debt are attributed to the inclusion of Indian bonds in the JP Morgan EM Bond Fund and Bloomberg Bond Index, expected to bring investments of around $25 billion. However, sharp surges in debt flows are unlikely due to rising US bond yields.
