Chinese EV battery maker EVE Energy is set to build the UK's largest gigafactory near Coventry, investing £1.2bn initially for a 20GWh capacity, with plans to expand to 60GWh. The plant, part of the UK Centre of Electrification project, will create 6,000 jobs and boost the local supply chain. EVE Energy, the world's largest Tesla-like cylindrical car battery producer, counts BMW as a customer.
