Assam Rifles aims to modernize equipment, enhance personnel skills, and improve cybersecurity.

Assam Rifles Director General Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair affirmed the force's commitment to modernise equipment and upskill personnel. Nair praised the force's contributions to counter-insurgency operations in the region and Kashmir. The force plans to acquire state-of-the-art weapons, surveillance, and protective equipment, and has signed an MoU with universities to improve manpower skills. Assam Rifles has also taken steps to safeguard its networks from cyber intrusions.
