3 Zambian poachers were jailed for 9 years each in Zimbabwe after being found guilty of poaching, illegally entering the country, and possessing ivory. The trio, aged 22 and 36, engaged in a gunfire exchange with game rangers, resulting in the death of two accomplices. Upon arrest, they were found with 15 elephant tusks, firearms, and ammunition. The group entered Zimbabwe from Botswana on March 19.
