40-year-old Leodere Verdisca, a man from Port St. Lucie, has been identified through DNA as the body found in a shallow pond in Martin County. The body was discovered in a wooded area near Southeast Cove Road and Southeast Willoughby Boulevard on March 17. The medical examiner has ruled the case a homicide, and the Martin County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate through interviews and evidence review.
