20-year-old Kevin Campos pleaded guilty to smuggling migrants through sewer pipes in California, facing up to 10 years in prison.

20-year-old Mexican resident Kevin Noe Campos Villa pleaded guilty to smuggling seven migrants into the US through sewer pipes in southern California. Campos faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250k fine, following his arrest in January when several migrants he was escorting had to be rescued by San Diego lifeguards. Campos was taken into custody by the Border Patrol during heavy rainfall, near the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
