The Colorado State Patrol's annual report also revealed a 21% decrease in thefts compared to 2022, but a 98% increase from 2018 to 2022. In 2023, $430.9 million of vehicle value was reported stolen, with 51% of stolen cars recovered outside the original jurisdiction.
