Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) refuted BBC Africa's report claiming female Malawian workers were subjected to human trafficking. OHRC expressed concern about the workers' conditions but stated they were not informed about these cases. The report was based on insufficient information and contradicts Oman's labor laws prohibiting forced labor. OHRC received only two complaints in 2023, promptly addressed in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour.
