Kaduna State Police have arrested suspected bandit leader Yakubu Saidu, accused of leading an attack on St. Raphael Catholic Church in Kamantan, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, in September 2023. The attack resulted in the death of a seminarian, Na'aman Danladi, and the destruction of the parish house. After a diligent investigation, Saidu was apprehended on March 22, 2024, and confessed to his involvement in the crime. The Kaduna State Police Command praised the police operatives for their swift response and dedication to public safety and reaffirmed their commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of all residents in the state.
