Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar has expressed concerns over the resurgence of piracy in the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, and Red Sea regions. The navy has deployed 10 warships and conducted over 1000 boardings in the last 100 days, leading to the arrest of 35 Somali pirates. Indian Navy operations, such as "Operation Sankalp," aim to prevent piracy and secure merchant vessels carrying cargo. The navy is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the Indian Ocean, named after India, with 64-65 anti-piracy ships in the region, up from 54-55.
