Court of Appeal in Ireland increases John Lindsay's heroin exchange sentence from 2.5 to 4 years.
The Court of Appeal in Ireland increased the sentence of "trusted operative" John Lindsay, who was involved in a €1.2 million heroin exchange, from an initial 2.5 years to 4 years after finding the original sentence too lenient. Although Lindsay did not personally own the drugs, he was involved in their distribution as part of an effort to reduce a drug debt. The final two years of the six-year sentence were suspended, in the interests of Lindsay's ongoing rehabilitation.
