Consumer Portfolio Services completes a $50M securitization deal, selling asset-backed notes backed by residual interests in 5 past securitizations (Jan 2022-Jan 2023)

Consumer Portfolio Services (CPS) has completed a $50 million securitization deal, where a qualified institutional buyer purchased asset-backed notes backed by residual interests in five of its past securitizations (Jan 2022-Jan 2023). Collateral for the notes comprises 80% of related deposit accounts and over-collateralization. The transaction was a private, unregistered offering under the Securities Act of 1933 or any state securities law. CPS, a specialty finance company, provides indirect car loans to those with credit issues.
