China establishes national medical emergency response teams to handle major epidemics, emergencies, and disaster scenarios.
China releases management measures for national medical emergency response teams, categorizing them to respond to major epidemics, poisoning incidents, nuclear emergencies, acute infectious disease outbreaks, and other situations requiring medical rescue. Each team should consist of over 30 healthcare professionals and medical emergency management workers, along with technical and logistical support members. The teams must be prepared to handle 20 observation beds, 200 emergency patients and outpatients, and conduct 20 damage control surgeries daily.
