27-year-old Rashad Trice from Lansing, Michigan, has agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge of kidnapping resulting in death in connection with the murder of 2-year-old Wynter Cole Smith, the daughter of his ex-girlfriend. The federal charge carries a mandatory life sentence and a $250,000 fine. Trice is also facing numerous counts in state court related to the stabbing and sexual assault of his ex-girlfriend last summer and the kidnapping of Wynter. Trice allegedly tried to disarm an officer after crashing his car into a police vehicle when police tried to apprehend him.
