27-year-old motorcyclist, Mathew Loayza, was killed after being struck by a Metro A Line train in Long Beach. The incident occurred near the Long Beach Boulevard and Eighth Street grade crossing at around 6 p.m. The Long Beach Police Department and Long Beach Fire Department both responded to the scene, but life-saving measures were unsuccessful. The authorities are working with the Long Beach Police Department to investigate the cause of the accident.
