43-year-old Kerry businessman Nathan McDonnell charged with Ireland's largest crystal meth haul, father offers €100,000 bail.

The father of a Kerry businessman charged with Ireland's largest ever crystal meth haul has offered €100,000 from his life savings to stand bail for his son. Nathan McDonnell, 43, is facing a serious charge over the €32m meth seizure and has significant means, according to prosecutors, who fear he could "disappear" if freed. McDonnell, a former garden centre CEO, and James Leen, 41, are both charged with possession of over €13,000 worth of the drug for sale or supply.
