49-year-old escapee Johnson Jr., serving a one-year sentence for burglary, was apprehended by Kansas City police nine days after escaping Johnson County Corrections.

49-year-old John Evans Johnson Jr., who escaped from the Johnson County Department of Corrections Adult Residential Center, has been apprehended by Kansas City, Kansas Police nine days after his escape. Johnson, serving a one-year sentence for burglary, was placed on escape status after not returning from two job interviews. The Kansas Department of Corrections is conducting an ongoing investigation.
