Elliott Investment Management, a US activist investor, has acquired a 5% stake in Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust Plc, one of the UK's leading technology-focused funds. The stake is primarily held through financial instruments, but Elliott also has a 0.5% stake with voting rights. The investment trust, managed by Edinburgh-based Baillie Gifford, has holdings in companies like Nvidia, ASML Holding, Tesla, and Moderna.
