University of Mobile's Board of Trustees elects Dr. Charles Smith Jr. as its 6th president.
The University of Mobile's Board of Trustees has elected Dr. Charles Smith Jr. as the university's sixth president. Smith, a Montgomery native, has served as senior vice president for Institutional Relations and assistant professor of Christian Leadership at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College in Kansas City, Missouri for 11 years. The University of Mobile is a Baptist university founded in 1961.
