The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) has reduced water consumption by 41% in 2023, compared to 2022, according to TAP AG consortium. TAP, which transports natural gas from Azerbaijan's Caspian Sea to Europe, decreased water use across Greece, Albania, Italy, and Switzerland. The TAP pipeline, 878 km long, connects with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) at the Turkish-Greek border and facilitates gas supplies to Southeast European countries via interconnectors.
