Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy plan joint police patrols for illegal migration control.
Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy plan joint police patrols to tackle illegal migration, with trilateral border patrols potentially replacing temporary controls set up last October. Slovenian Interior Minister Bostjan Poklukar said the goal is to remove border controls within the EU. The patrols aim to curb the increase of illegal border crossings, with Slovenia registering 6,415 in the first two months of 2023, compared to 5,234 in the same period of 2022.
