Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai, issued directives to establish the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority, promoting sustainable practices, biodiversity preservation, and expanding natural reserves and green spaces. The initiative aims to support the green economy and strengthen Dubai's role in global climate change efforts. Sheikh Mohammed also appointed Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani as the authority's director-general.
