Security researchers found a way to clone Dormakaba Saflok electronic lock keycards, named "Unsaflok," impacting 3M locks in 13,000 hotels and homes globally.

Security researchers have discovered a method to clone the keycards used on 3 million Dormakaba Saflok electronic locks in 13,000 hotels and homes worldwide, named "Unsaflok." The flaw allows attackers to reverse-engineer the Dormakaba front desk software, create a custom-built keycard, and open locks. Dormakaba has acknowledged the vulnerability, but only 36% of affected locks have been upgraded since September 2022.
