The National Economic Council (NEC) has approved the $617.7 million Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (i-DICE) program in Nigeria. The initiative aims to create millions of jobs in the tech sector, support job diversification, and establish innovation centers. Funding comes from various organizations, including the African Development Bank, French Development Agency, Islamic Development Bank, Bank of Industry, and private investors. The program is expected to provide ICT training and certification for 1.27 million youths and generate direct employment for 100,000 youths per state, as well as 5.58 million indirect jobs nationwide.
