NCIS prequel series 'Origins' adds Kyle Schmid as young Mike Franks. Schmid will portray the younger version of Mike Franks, a character previously played by Muse Watson in the original NCIS series. NCIS: Origins follows Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the early 1990s and will include Schmid's Franks as a mentor to Gibbs, played by Austin Stowell. The series is set to premiere in the 2024-2025 TV season.
