Four men were arrested after a car they were in was intercepted by armed police on Dublin's M50 following a report of a kidnapping in Belfast. Gardaí (Irish police) received information from the Police Service of Northern Ireland and launched a containment operation on the M50, resulting in the arrest of the men and the recovery of a gun from the vehicle. The man initially reported kidnapped was found safe inside the van.
