30-year-old South Carolina man, Thomas Andrew Casselman, pleaded guilty to assaulting law enforcement officers during the January 6 Capitol riot. Casselman used a canister of pepper spray near police lines on Capitol grounds. He is among 1,358 individuals charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the Capitol breach. Over 468 people have been charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, a felony offense.
