147,000 Hyundai and Kia vehicles recalled in the US due to ICCU issue affecting battery recharge and drive power.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling over 147,000 vehicles in the US due to a potential issue with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) that may cause damage, impede battery recharge and lead to loss of drive power. The recall involves Hyundai's 98,878 vehicles, including 2022-2024 IONIQ 5, 2023-2024 IONIQ 6, Genesis GV60, GV70 "Electrified", and GV80 "Electrified" vehicles, and Kia's 48,232 vehicles, including 2022-2024 EV6 models. Dealers will inspect, replace the ICCU and its fuse, and update the software at no cost to the owners. Owner letters will be sent on April 29 for Kia and May 14 for Hyundai.
