60% complete, Ghana's Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) expansion project is on track to become a full-fledged university by 2024. The project, funded by the Government of Ghana, includes four hostels, a 1,200-capacity auditorium, 600-capacity lecture halls, and an astroturf. The Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government and Rural Development has urged security improvements, renewable energy systems, and marketing the institute globally.
