Former Filipino congressman Arnolfo Teves Jr., accused of masterminding the killings of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo and eight others, has been arrested in East Timor. Police arrested Teves while he was playing golf at a driving range in Dili, where he had sought asylum. His arrest was sought through an Interpol red notice asking police worldwide to locate and apprehend him. Teves is awaiting extradition to the Philippines, where he faces multiple murder charges.
