The Court of Appeal has increased the sentence of Gavin Coyle, a man convicted of IRA membership and providing a car for terror purposes, from six to eight years. Coyle's involvement led to a bomb attack on an off-duty Catholic police officer in 2008, resulting in serious leg injuries. The Tyrone Brigade of the Real IRA claimed responsibility for the attack.
