A technical issue in data transfer may have prevented thousands of Canadian veterans and military members from being hired or applying for public service jobs between November 2020 and January 2024, according to officials. The Public Service Commission of Canada discovered the problem, which impacted the process of identifying eligible veterans and CAF members for preference and mobility entitlements. The issue has since been resolved, and the commission will launch an audit.
