Benue Governor, Hyacinth Alia, is directing the Ministry of Finance to unfreeze the state government accounts after a temporary freeze for accountability and asset protection. The move is expected to release much-needed resources for the state. Governor Alia also plans to increase minimum wage for workers in Benue, with a committee formed to review the current wage and make recommendations to the government.
