1 April: Cyprus ends reduced fuel tax, raising petrol, diesel, and heating oil prices.

Starting 1 April, Cyprus ends its reduced fuel consumption tax, raising petrol (95 octane) & diesel by 8.3 & 6.3 cents/litre respectively, & heating oil by 6.3 cents. This comes amidst an expected increase in retail fuel prices due to green taxation, potentially causing consumers to bear extra costs of about 14 cents. The green tax, if approved, could increase annually, reaching 25 cents per litre by 2033.
