36-year-old Nathaniel Davis Jr., who was serving a 7-day sentence in Johnson County Jail, died on March 19th after a medical emergency observed by a deputy on camera. Jail staff attempted CPR and used an AED before calling an ambulance. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is currently probing the incident, with the Johnson County Medical Examiner's Office set to conduct an autopsy. The State Jail Inspector has been notified.
