16-year-old Hartley resident killed in single-vehicle crash near Hartley, Iowa. The accident occurred on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 8:30 am when the teenager's vehicle, a 2000 Honda Accord, left the roadway and struck a creek embankment. The teen was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered a fatal injury. Authorities responded to the scene with assistance from Hartley EMS, the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office, and the Iowa DNR.
