28-year-old Azzan Sandhu, a correctional officer at Ventura Youth Corrections Facility in Camarillo, has been charged with nine felony counts, including seven counts of lewd acts on a child and one count of creating child abuse material. Sandhu allegedly abused a 15-year-old inmate between December 2022 and February 2023, using his personal cell phone to create child sexual abuse material with the girl. His case will be reviewed in Ventura County Superior Court on March 22 and April 25.
