Potatoes up but crisps down: How inflation has changed the price of everyday groceries.

UK inflation dropped to a two-and-a-half-year low in February due to a significant slowdown in food price rises, according to data from the Office for National Statistics. Annual food price inflation decreased to 5% in February, its lowest level in two years. The cost of eating out in restaurants and cafes also eased back, with annual inflation falling to 6.7% last month from 8.2% in January.
