Transport Minister Simeon Brown has announced the government will reverse previous speed limit reductions implemented across New Zealand, with plans to sign a new Land Transport Rule by the end of 2024. The new rule aims to target high crash areas and remove blanket speed reductions, unless deemed unsafe. Brown also named five key issues for Auckland: cost of living, transport, crime, housing, and water.
