The Toronto Blue Jays have traded infielder Santiago Espinal to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Chris McElvain. Espinal, 29, has spent his entire four-year career with the Blue Jays, making a lone All-Star appearance in 2022. The Reds sent right-handed pitching prospect McElvain, who went 5-5 with a 3.75 ERA in 23 games last season, to complete the transaction.
