RBC plans to convert HSBC Bank Canada branches into RBC locations after a $13.5bn takeover on March 28.

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) plans to convert HSBC Bank Canada branches and offices into RBC locations immediately after completing its $13.5bn takeover on March 28, if conditions are met. HSBC customers' products, services, and balances will be migrated to similar RBC offerings, and new RBC credit cards will be issued in March. The converted branches and offices will reopen on April 1.
